Hello,
I am seeking information on William Carnafax (various spellings of this name) who came from Va into Nicholas and Fayette Counties WV.
There seems to be alot of conflicting information on this particular line.
I am interested in William Carnafax who married Elizabeth Miller. Who were their children? When was he born and where did he die? Was it he or his son who is noted for Carnefex Ferry in Nicholas County, WV ??
Was it their son William Jr. who married Nancy Holsapple??
I am seeking information on a George W. Carnafax who died by 1849 and had land holdings in Buckingham County, Va.
It was his daughter Isabella A. Carnifix who married John J. Coleman in 1849 Fayette County, WV.
You will find the information regarding this George W. Carnafax in the Fayette County Courthouse in Deed Book D.
Was this George a son of Elizabeth Miller and William Carnafax Sr.?
If anyone can help straighten me out on this line, I would be most appreciative.
