I believe that Patrick who died 1728 in Essex Co,VA was the grandfather of Patrick who died 1789 in Person Co, NC. Yes, I believe Patrick who died in NC was previously in VA, however, I would have to find proof of that in land ownership or something. What we need to find is proof who is the direct link between Patrick who died in NC and Patrick who died in VA. As for the Patrick who was in the Revolutionary War, I am confused as to who his father was. I really get confused because there are cousins who have the same names throughout this line - example John, James, Moses, Patrick are in the direct line and in cousins lines.
