August Carnall (b.15 Aug 1851, IN; d. 5 June 1935, Walnut, Crawford Co., KS); came to KS, ca. 1878. In 1880, Lincoln twp, Crawf. Co., KS Census, he was enumerated as boarding with Anna Bowman & children. He m. 28 Feb 1884, Crawf. Co., KS to Lucretia Mabel Michael (b. 30 Mar 1865, Carrol Co., IN; d. Dec 1918, Grirard, Crawf.Co., KS. They had 6 children: Delbert Oscar, William Henry, Benice Edna, Benj. Harrison, baby d. at 4 mos., Dessa "Bessie" M. Carnall. All were born in Crawf. Co., KS. Who were August's parents? His father is listed being born in France or Ohio. Where in IN was August born & reared? In 1860 Wash. twp, Grant Co., IN Census, I found an Augustus Carnall, age 7 (b.ca.1853, IN), in household of a Benj. & Sarah MILEY. In same place, but in 1870 Census, I found an Augustus Carnall (age 16, b.ca.1854, IN), in same household, but surname spelled MYLEY. In this census Benj. (b.ca 1824, PA); Sarah (b.ca.1832, OH). Is this my husband's great-grandfather August Carnall? Can anyone help me in any way, PLEASE?!!! Thank you, Donna
