I have not worked on my Carnahan genealogy for quite some time, but will attach my notes. Please check all my info before you put in your tree to make sure it is correct.Some of my info came from others. If you disagree, please let me know.
I am showing parents of Johh Bole b.3/1867 as Robert Paul Carnahan b. 6/20/1834 and Catherine Elizabeth Troup b. 5/29/1840.Here are my notes:
Robert and Catharine on 1860 Pennsylvania Census, Allegheny Township, Westmoreland County, living with Robert's parents.

Carnahan Robert, 35, appears on the 1870 Pennsylvania Census, Kiskiminetas Township, Armstrong County with wife Catharine 31, and children; Frank M. 8, Harry C. 5, John Bole 3, and Minnie B. 1.All born in Pennsylvania

Carnahan Robert 44, farmer appears on the 1880 Pennsylvania Census, Allegheny Township, Westmoreland County with wife Catharine E. 38, and children; Frank 19, Harry 15, John 13, Minnie 11, James 8, Sarah 6, Ada 3, and Elizabeth 8/12.All born in Pennsylvania.
