Mary Carmody, at Fourth Ave. in Albany NY - 1900's

I would like to find out about the Carmody family who owned a building at 75 Fourth Ave. in Albany NY from the late 1800's through about 1940.

I'm looking into my Drew family tree, and they rented part of the building from the late 1800's to 1940. The family was James and Johanna Drew with their 6 children.

I was wondering if there was any family connection back to Ireland, maybe Co. Limerick ?

1880 US Census for Albany NY Ward 3
75 Fourth Ave.

Mary Carmody age 53, retail grocer, born Ireland
Mary Carmody age 22, daughter, born NY
John Carmody age 24, son, boatman, born NY
James Carmody age 21, son, carpenter, born NY
Catherine Carmody age 15, daughter

1930 Census for Albany NY

Mary Carmody age 63, head, single, born NY
Catherine Carmody, age 54, cousin single, born NY

Thanks for your time, CY
