The following is William M. Carmean's obituary as it appeared in THE FLINT JOURNAL on June 16, 1998:
"CARMEAN, William M. -- Of Flint, age 64, died Saturday, June 13, 1998 at the residence. Funeral service will be held at 10 AM Thursday, June 18, 1998 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jim Reid officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family. Visitation 2-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday and Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Carmean was born in Flint, Michigan on June 5, 1934 and was a resident of Flint all of his life. Surviving are 2 sons, Jeff of Columbiaville and Billy Spohn of Flint; 3 daughters, Charlotte Smith of Lansing, May Ione Carmean, Debra and husband Keith Storey of Flint; 2 grandchildren, Amber and Freddy; 2 brothers, Leonard and wife Bonita of Mio, Michigan, Carl and wife Carol of Flint; many step-brothers and sisters; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and daughter."
