By the way, the 1880 Record of Death of Foster Carmean [d 1879](from Ancestrylibraryedition) says the cause of his death was "Kick of horse." This is confirmed by J.W. Merrill's "Yellow Spring & Huron: a Local History" (1897) [copy at Library of Congress], which also gives that Franklin m. Lizzie Moore. Sorry I missed that.
