Can anyone tell me about Thora C. Norby? She was the daughter of Jacob Norby and Maria Stenseth. She apparently married a man surnamed Braaten and later Ralph Carmean.

1. THORA C.2 NORBY (JACOB1) was born June 8, 1910 in Joplin, Liberty, Montana, and died June 29, 2001 in Neptune Beach, Ferndale, Whatcom, Washington. She married (1) ---------- BRAATEN. She married (2) RALPH EVERETT CARMEAN, son of WILLIAM CARMEAN and ERMA GARRISON. He was born October 21, 1899 in Clinton County, Ohio, and died March 24, 1962 in Garden City, Finney, Kansas.

Thora C. Carmean was born to Jacob Norby and Maria Stenseth in Joplin, Montana on June 8, 1910. She apparently married a man surnamed Braaten, but by 1938 she had become Mrs. Thora C. Carmean. By that time, she was living in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she applied for a Social Security Number. She appears to have married Ralph Everett Carmean, and later moved to Garden City, Kansas where Ralph died in 1962. She apparently never remarried and ended up in Ferndale, Washington where she died on June 29, 2001 at the age of 91.
According to the Social Security Death Index, Thora C. Carmean was born on June 8, 1910 and died on June 29, 2001 while living in Ferndale in Whatcom County, Washington. Her Social Security Number {471-18-3355} was issued in Minnesota.
According to her obituary: Thora Carmean died on June 29, 2001 at the age of 91 at her home at Neptune Beach near Ferndale, Washington. Arnold & Catherine Finkbonner held a memorial prayer and reception for her at their home on July 7, 2001. Memorials could bed made to the Friends of the Orphans Northwest in Bellevue, Washington.
