William Carlyle was b. in Ayrshire, Scotland in Dec. 1945. He married Margaret Wilson 1871, in Pittston, Pa. where he, and the Wilson men worked in coal mines. Supposedly he had worked in the mines in Scotland so he
he must to have been at least a teen when he came to America, but have been unable to find when. In the late 1876-7 William and Margaret plus Margaret's sister Agnes and her husband, Thomas Parker, all came to Texas, locating west of Ft. Worth.
If William and Margaret followed Scottish tradition William's parents were Robert and Janet or Jannet as these were the names of his first daughter and first son. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Norene Moore
