John Carlyle, b. 1814, Dumfies, d. 1874 in Kent County, MI., m. Lillias Howitt b. 1816, Dumfies, d. 1866 in Kent, County, MI. They left Liverpool in 1842 with their family and settled in Kent County, MI. Any info on parents/siblings would be helpful. Please and thanks, John Ten Eyck of Mt. Clemens, MI.
