OBITUARY:
Larned - Agda Evelyn Berglund, 84, died July 16, 2000, at Central Kansas Medical Center, St. Joseph Campus, Larned. She was born Nov. 6, 1915, at Nettleton, the daughter of Andy and Clara Polson Carlson. She was a self-employed painter and wallpaper hanger until her retirement. She belonged to Grace Lutheran Chruch, Larned. On June 28, 1936, she married Earl W. Berglund at Garden City. He died Aug. 31, 1991. Survivors include: a daughter, Vicki Dipman, Larned; two brothers, John Carlson Sr., Howell, and Nelson Carlson, Tecumseh; two grandaughters, and two great-granddaughters. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Pastor David Parks presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and until service time Wednesday, both at the mortuary. Burial will be in Garfield Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Grace Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.

I always knew her as Aunt Evelyn. She married the brother of my grandmother HENRIETTA ELEANOR (BERGLUND) ZINK. Evelyn had an unforgetable voice that was fun to immitate.
