Here are the info I have of William Henry Carlson Jr.
He was born on May 1 1870 in East St Louis, IL, died March 21, 1939 in Decatur, IL. Married Grace Elsie Newingham (b. 2/12/1895, d. 4/17/1986) on August 14 1916 in Springfield, IL.
His father was listed as Wm H Carlson and his mother was Elizabeth Lucille (she had a Swedish last name but it was lost). There were nine children which two of them were sisters. Names and info was not found.
Hope this is detailed as I can get out of my family records here in Decatur, IL at the courthouse. I sure hope someone out there will be able to research the family tree and add more of names and dates, etc. to the family. My grandfather said before his death that his grandfather never really talked about his family, possibly he was enstraged from his family but he did say that he was of Swedish decendent.
