I found the arrival manifest for Johanna Sjögren using the free online Ellis Island site. (Use this gateway to the Ellis Island site.) I used the White Form.

http://stevemorse.org/

She is indexed as Johanna Sogren. (The transcriber didn't notice the j after the S.) She arrived in New York on 17 November 1901. She had departed from Liverpool in England. (Our Swedes at that time left their Swedish port on a feeder ship which sailed to Hull or Grimsby in England. There they boarded a train to an English port such as Liverpool or Southampton and then boarded a larger ship.) She sailed from Liverpool on the S.S. Celtic and left Liverpool on 8 November 1901.

The manifest lists her as 29, female, single, and a servant. She was Swedish and her last residence was Ödestugu. She was headed towards Scranton, Kans. and had $27 (which was written with the pound sign). She was going to Uncle Kläes Sjögren who lived in Scranton, Kans. ?(Mont?)
