I'm trying to find information about my grandmother's parents but I'm not having any luck as that side of my family didn't keep any records. Here's what I've been able to piece together from conversations with my father and from my memory.
Esther Mathilda Carlson
b. 4 July 1907
d. May 1987 (Rock Island, IL)
Married Paul E. Meeker (aka Edwin P Meeker).
Children:
Robert E.
James P.
Margorie
According to my dad her parents were "Carl" and Mathilda Carlson. I was able to find a John C. Carlson, in the 1900 census, who's childrens names and ages match the aunts and uncles that my dad remembers. The census show his wife's name as Hilda so I'm pretty sure it's the right record. But that's as far as I've been able to go. No maiden name for Mathilda.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
