Hi Jean-
I don't know how much this will help you, but I did find obits for both Lester W. Carlson (d. 4 Oct 1976) & wife, Gladys E. Carlson (d. 8 Aug 1954). Both Lester & Gladys were waked at Peterson Funeral Home 6938 W. North Ave, Chicago (its still in business) & both are buried at Mt. Olive Cemetery.

When Les d. in 1976 his obit lists his daughters, Lila Casini & Iris Zaricor, and says he was the "grandfather of nine". None of the grandkids are named.

When Gladys d. in 1954, her obit also lists both daughters (Lila Casini & Iris Zaricor). Her obit at that time lists five grandchildren: Tina, Leno, & Terry Casini; Leslie & Jodie Zaricor.

So, as of 1976 there were 9 grandchildren at least 5 of which were born prior to 1954.

I don't know how much help this is, but maybe its a start.

Paul
