I have been looking for immigration info on my great great grandfather Wilhelm Eloff Carlson. He went by William E. Carlson in the US. He was born Feb 6, 1857 in Sweden. Census records indicated he immigrated in 1873. He got married in 1877 to Mary C. Cunningham, and lived in Rhode Island from there on. He died Feb 18, 1910 in East Providence, RI. Census records also indicate a brother John A. Carlson in RI. His father is listed only as Carl and his mother may be Anna Borgeson, although she is listed as unknown on his death certificate. I can't find any record of him prior to 1877. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated
