"In Westcott, Maine John and Martin Carlow were brothers in the American Revolution. They were loyalists and Tories. The King of England gave an island off Maine to John and Martin Carlow for being loyalists. Franklin Delano Roosevelt bought the Island and that is where he contracted polio.
John Carlow m. Alicia Pendleton from Canada. They had one son John P. Carlow b.ca 1838 d. 1873.
John P. Carlow fought in the Civil War and lived 8 years after the war. He died of cholera
He married Lenora App b. 1840 d. 1922
They had Roscoe Carlow b. ? d. 8/1934 (maybe other children)

They are buried in Arlington Cemetary, MA
