Lillioan, I tried to answer this message yesterday but probably got too long winded and was cut off.
I too am interested in the Carlisles of the Calf-and Bullpastures in VA in my search for the ancestors of Robert Carlisle and wife Hannah of, finally, Hancock Co GA whose daughter Sarah married Thomas Wright of Hancack Co, son of Robert Wright (wife unkniwn Robert C. died rherein the 1830's.
I believe he is likely that the Robert C, who was in Morgan Co GA in 1820 census. The family distribution is possibly compatible. Robert and an Edward Carlisle, also of Morgan were apparently an Edward and Robert in Chatham Co NC earier and kin to the Carlisles of the above mentioned in VA.
I's likely that a Patton family from which I also descend wasinvolved too. I have entered data on these Carlisles in this forum that you might like to read. I hope we can correspond, by e-mail if you prefer, about these families. Love to hear from you. Fay Hoodock
