My earliest known Carlisle ancestor was Thomas Carlisle, born about 1770/1775 who migrated to Lawrence Co Ms. about 1812. Some records say he was born in GA some say NC. I believe Ga is probably correct. For some time I have believed that he may be a part of this
Edmund, Robert and Hosea family, but I can't really find a connection other than all the names except Hosea are prominent in my Carlisle family. Do you have anything on a Thomas Carlisle that may be connected to this family or any other Carlisle family you may have research. My cousin Rebecca and I are a brick wall we can't get over, under or around. Any help would be appreciated and any thing you may want on our Carlisle line you are welcome to.
Thanks, Clata McCarver
