Searching for anyone who has a connection to a Mary Carlile. She was born somewhere in Michigan about 1857. She married my GGGrandfather, Joseph A Davis, 21 Feb 1874 in Boone County, Iowa. They had 4 Children: Rosa Mae-1882, Charles Edward-1884, John-1887 and Joseph A.-1888. Her husband remarried in 1892 (Anna Long), but I have no idea what happened to Mary. My grandfather never spoke of his family and actually left home at the age of 11 to strike out on his own in about 1900, never to have much contact with his father again. My Mom is just as stumped as I am. The 1885 census lists her birthplace as Michigan. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
