Robert Carlile born 12 April 1797. married a Margaret ? on the 05 Jan 1818. Margaret was born on 12 July 1799 and died on the 02 July 1840. Robert died at the age of 93 and was buried at Castlereagh Presbyterian Graveyard. They had 12 Children and lived at Loop Bally maclonaghy near Belfast. Joseph 22 Dec 1818, Margaret 06 Sep 1820, Robert 08 Jul 1822, John 14 Aug 1824, Hugh 30 Oct 1826, Sarah 09 Nov 1828, Samuel 18 Nov 1830, Alenander 17 Nov 1832, William 23 Dec 1834, James 13 Apr 1837, Elizabeth 13 Apr 1839 and Andrew 12 Jun 1840. James Married an Eleanor McLean on 18 May 1858 in Lurgan and had 4 children. James Jul 1859, Robert 10 Mar 1861, Henry 13 Jan 1863 and Eleanor 12 Dec 1865. James was a Plumber from Lurgan and Eleanor came from Legacurry.
James Carlile Jul 1858 later became James Stewart-Carlile and was a quarter master Sergent in the Army and served in Burmah where he married a Mary Roberts on 17 Dec 1882. They had 7 children, one being James Robert Francis Stewart-Carlile, my grandfather who was born in Rangoon on the 27 Sep 1883. All the children except one were born in Rangoon, the youngest child Arthur William Dewi was born on 01 Mar 1894 in Bethesda Wales.
