Carlile -TN, KY, TX and poss. IL and MS
According to census info, etc, my branch of Carliles started out in TN in ca. 1820.No first names known for his parents but according to 1880 census for Richard Dixon Carlile of Guadalupe Co, TX, his parents were both born in TN and he was born in 1836 in KY.He married Susan McAdams (b/MS) in Erath Co, TX in 1859 and was in Guadalupe Co, TX by the 1880 census:
All children were born in Texas: Thomas M, William D, Catherine (died infant), David L, Margaret A. and Susan E.
According to census info for his son, Thomas M, Richard was born in MS/1900 census and IL/1920 census.I'm going with KY but the IL and MS info had to come from somewhere.
Thomas M. married Mary Nelson (b/TX) in 1887 and was still in Guadalupe Co, TX in the 1900 census and in Waco, McLennan Co, TX by the 1920 census.
There are three sons not listed on the census, they are Dixon, Jeff and Tom no dates associated.
Children on the 1900 census all born in TX:
Earl E, Etta L, Katherine (Kati), Maggie B. and Rosa E.
In the 1920 Waco census Tomas and Mary were alone and Merchant and clerk in a store.
Son Earl and his wife Jewell "Judy" were in Waco in the 1930 census and he was a clerk in a store.
Children all born in Texas:
Shelby T, Earl D, Wesley B, Ruth, Esther and Jewell M.
If you connect with this branch I would appreciate a response.Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Good Hunting,
CW Carlile
