Brenda, I was told by another Carlile researcher that Thomas J. Carlile married Mary "Polly" Leverett, a widow, in Lincoln, Georgia, but, now, a few of us Carlile researchers do not think this is our Thomas. We have not been able to figure out who the Mary was that he married.
He married Margaret Martha McKroy in 1853 in Cane Hill, Washington Co., Arkansas, his second marriage.
