I am also from the Pike Co, Al Carliles who came to Texas and would like to exchange information. Which did you come from? I am from Lewis Edmond Carlile b. 2-23-1853. He was the son of John Carlile b. abt 1803 in Al and grandson of WIlliam b. 1785 in South Carolina.
The residences I know of in Texas are Cass Co, and Scurry Co. He married Mary Eldora Pierce from Coryell Co. and who died in Hood Co.
