There is mounting evidence that the William Kerley who married H(anna)h King is the William Kersley mentioned as being bonded by Henry Rowley and Anthony Annable in the
notes for Barnstable in Plymouth Colony 1641 ---

With ANTHONY ANNABLE, Henry Rowley was bondsman for William Kersley of Barnstable on 7 December 1641 [PCR 2:28].
There is also a notation in The William and Mary Quarterly, Third Series, Vol. 52, No. 2 (Apr., 1995), pp. 259-286 (article consists of 28 pages)
Published by: Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture which casts some doubt about his orientation.
There is NO mention of this William in the histories of Sudbury or Lancaster, only evidence by his Will of 1684 that he was in Marlborough by then. The only Kerleys mentioned in the histories of Sudbury and Lancaster relate to William, Sr; Henry; and William, Jr who is later found in Cambridge/Lexington.
Nor is there any evidence of a Bartholomew being born in Lancaster to Capt. Henry and his first wife, Elizabeth White Kerley, or of his survivorship of the Massacre at Lancaster in Feb. 1676.
I believe that Bartholomew is the son of William Kerley/Kersley and H(anna)h King and may have been the only descendant of this couple. His date of birth conflicts with another child of Henry and E1, daughter Elizabeth, as both are said erroneously to have been born in 1661. Bartholomew made a point of changing the spelling of his name to Carlile and some of his children continued to carry that spelling.
Bartholomew is known to have had children James, Hannah, Peter and Joseph -

This would make the following notations incorrect as according to the AGBI, Bartholomew was born in 1650 --

Gen & Fam Hist of Central New York, Vol.3 pp 1369-1371, 974.7 D2cu. "Bartholomew, second son of Henry and Elizabeth 9white) Carley, born about 1660, settled in Sudbury, and seems to have spelled his name Carlile, or had it spelled by the town clerk thus for him. He was a proprietor of Leicester, but there is no record of his moving there. He had wife, Hannah, and children, born in Sudbury; James, Hannah, Peter, Joseph, and probably others." If his children were born in Sudbury, it would have been well after William, Sr had moved his family to Lancaster as he is not mentioned in the early history of Sudbury and William, Sr was noted to be in Lancaster with his family in 1647.
Has anyone done any research in the history of Leicester regarding Bartholomew and his family?
