I am searching for Mary Martha Carley Brundage Gaylord Boyer (at least that is what her last known married name was), b. 3 Mar 1891 in Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio to Peter and Mary Gephart Carley. (Peter had changed the surname from Carle to Carley.) Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren would love to know what happened to her. Mary Martha had these siblings who lived to adulthood: Albert (b. 3 Jun 1892 in Cincy, d. Livonia, Wayne Co., Michigan in 1980); Simon (b. 11 Dec 1897 in Cincy, d. 23 Jun 1941 in Florida (?); and Beatrice (b. 14 Feb 1908 in Indianapolis, Marion Co., Indiana; m. Edward Weiland on 14 Feb 1928 in Indy, d. ?) Mary Martha Carley's parents moved the family back and forth between Cincy and Indy several times. Mary Martha married John W. Brundage in Indy on 11 Sep 1911. They lived in Indy for a few years, then moved to John's hometown of Anderson, Madison Co., Indiana. After they divorced in 1925, Mary Martha moved back to Indy and was briefly married to a man named Gaylord; they were divorced by 1930. On 1 Aug 1936 she married George Frederick Boyer in Indy. They lived in the Stringtown area of Indy. George died in 1953. Mary Martha Carley Gaylord Boyer was in the Indy City Directory in 1955, her occupation was listed as a maid in the Guaranty Bldg. downtown. But then she disappears. Mary Martha had a daughter. If her (estranged) daughter knew where she was, her daughter never told her own children. Her brother Albert's descendants know nothing either. There is no death record in Indiana for her, and no marriage records in the state that we can find. Does anyone know what happened to her? Notify Administrator about this message?
