I am also descended from Edward Carleton Through John Carleton of Woolwich, Maine. The Maine Historical Society of Portland Maine has a Spiral bound book Titled Carleton or Carlton. It states that They are decended from Walter Carleton and Jane Gibbon are the parents. If you contact them I am sure you can get the info you need. If you contact me and give me your info I can send you more info on them. But not that book as I don't have only my people. We are also descended for Edward III through His 4th son John of Gaunt (Ghent) and his third wife Katherine Swinford through their daughter Margaret Beaufort. Google has all kinds of info on them. There are also books written about them. Fasinating!
