SUBJECT
This is a Court Document of the Manor of Tarring with Marlpost, Sussex, of which Edward Carleton is the Steward.

James Carter is surrendering copyhold property to the Lord of the Manor and to the use and behoof of William Hide.

the property is a messuage called 'Bolds' adjoining the Townfield Gates, containing 1 rood of land. The price is £315 (which seems a very high price for such a small plot!).
