Baldwin de Carleton - 1066 of Carleton Hall
Baldwin de Carleton ( called the father of english jurisprudence ) was a norman and entered England at the time of the norman conquest ( 1066 ). He received the domain of Carleton Hall and title from William the Conqueror for 600 years.
His residence was called Carleton Hall, near Penrich, Cumberland. His title was Viscount Lord.
