I realize that this post is a few years old, but hopefully, the person who posted it will see it.
Lorenzo Washington Carkhuff b. 3/31/1859 married Mary Adelaide Hunt (?) and had a daughter,(my great grandmother) Ethel B. Carkuff. Ethel married Kim Caudill Sr of KY and had 3 children, Lorraine Beatrice Caudill (my grandmother) b. 4/14/1919, Elnora Caudill and Kim Caudill Jr. My grandmother married Thomas John Bostock, Sr (first marriage) and had my father Thomas John Bostock, Jr b 1945 and my uncle Richard Henry Bostock b 1944. She was married more than once and there are more children. Please let me know if anyone has any interest in that information. I have pictures from my grandmothers things that were given to me recently. She has pictures of Lorenzo and Mary from the early 30's and late 20's as well as others I only know by first name because it is handwritten on the back.
Does anyone know anything about Lorenzo and Mary running some sort of schoolhouse? I have pictures with regard to that and my grandmother is unable to speak to me about it.
