I am direct from Robert and Mary Luckie Carithers to James and Penelope Tillman Carithers to Amos and Elizabeth Eleanor Thompson Carithers. Their daughter Sarah Francis (Fanny) Carithers married into the Burroughs line. Which ends up coming down to me. My problem is trying to prove that Amos is the son of James and Penelope. I have the probate papers where he is an administrator of James' estate. He was also involved in the paperwork that was done by Amos and Saye to get the pension of Robert given to the two children still living at home. I know that Margaret (his aunt) was living with them in the 1850 and 1860 census. When the Mary Luckie Carithers died her will left everything to her daughter Mary. Apparently neither one of these two ladies ever married. Any help with this line would be appreciated. Thank you. You may contact me direct if you like: PPJent@aol.com
