Andria: The Social Security Death Index (at ssdi.genealogy.rootsweb.com) has your grandfather listed as born in West Virginia (where his SSN was issued) and dying in Houston Texas in Sept. 1986. You can order a copy of the SS death index and you can also order a copy of his Texas death certificate and perhaps a birth certificate from West Virginia. Good Luck! - Candace
