Questioning Kinship Reports for Gearld Family, Gilbert de Clare, Isabella de Taillefer, John FitzAlan and Samuel Carpenter which all list Gethin Deveridge Cargill. Gethin was born 1899 in Dundedin, New Zealand and is first cousin to my mother, born Stella Fullerton 1915 in Eurelia, South Australia. Their mothers are sisters Ernestine and Minna, respectively, born in Gawler, South Australia, to German immigrant August Frankel (Fraenkel) and Scottish immigrant Margaret Grimmond. Margaret's parents are George Grimmond and Betsey Beveridge. A number of descendants of George and Betsey have Beveridge included in their middle names. This makes me wonder if Gethin's middle name is not Deveridge but in actual fact Beveridge. I would be interested to know if anyone who has posted the Kinship Reports has sighted Gethin's birth certificate or if any of Gethin's descendants can confirm his middle name.
