Thanks for the scoop on David Cargill, Jr., and the Bolton citation.

I asked about the line because I had done some research into the descendants of James and Phebe (Smith) Cargill and David Jr. and his mother Briah Wilmarth were new names to me. The notes I have generally agree with your post, except maybe James^2 was b. 1729 or 1729/30 vice 1732.

I am descended myself from James^1, Benjamin^2 (David Sr.'s younger brother), James^3, James Arnold^4, Frank Atherton^5, and Mira Lotta^6 Cargill.

I seem to remember that I thought Phebe Smith's ancestry could be pieced together through books such as "160 Allied Families ..." or something like that, but there's more work to do, someday ....

As I poke around, I'll post anything I find on Wilmarth.

Best wishes, Eben
