I am seeking anyone who has done research on his publications of the King James Version of the Bible
I have a bible page that states Mathew Carey as publisher
however who ever copied this years ago accidently folded the page covering part of the publication date
I can only read M.DCCC which translated is 1800.
Does anyone know when the publication of the King James Version with Mathew Carey's name stopped publication
Any help would be appreciated we are trying to establish the actual date on this bible
I have several pages of bible info on my Hilburn/Kimball Family from Burke Co GA to Lowndes Co AL to Union Parish LA
If anyone researching this Carey Family would like a copy of this page I am more then willing to share a copy of the page for your history as well.
The thing is the people who now own the bible will not share with us I am told
the lady who obtained the pages for our family years ago has long since passed.
We dont know why they wont share pages now. I am trying to find them myself in order just to get them to give me the dates only so far I have been unsuccessful
