Since I am stuck I paid for the DNA testing on www.ancestry.com for a male Carey from our line. I am interested to know if anyone else has done DNA testing on any of the Carey lines? They are offering a 50% off sale right now and it would be great if others did it as well. I am a descendent of Sallie Parker Carey married to Jordan Carey (b 1805, supposedly in Virginia) showed up in Orange County, NC in 1830 and lived his life until his 188* death in Orange County, North Carolina. I am stuck in 1830 but believe that Jordan is related to the following Orange County Carey's. Samuel Carey married Sally Burgin about 1831. John Waggonner married to Sally Carey about 1812. John Waggonner was Jordan's neighbor and married his sister-in-law Susan Parker when Sally Carey died, he also signed as a bondsmen for the listed Samuel/Sally marriage. Believe Samuel lived in the 1830 Orange County census in the household listed as Jordan Carey. There is a VA Jordan Carey but he was born much later than 1805. I did find a notation of a Levin Jordan Carey and this is the only other time other I have found the name Jordan Carey. Notify Administrator about this message?
