I am looking for information on any descendants of James Raleigh Carey b. 1896 probably in Hamilton County IL. His daughter, Jean Willis, b. 1920 who was put up for adoption in 1920 is still alive (88) and curious if she has any brothers or sisters as she was raised as an only child by her adopted family.
James Raleigh's father is William Lockey Carey b. 1859 in Muhlenberg County KY and his father is William Riley Carey b. 1829 in Muhlenberg County KY. James Raleigh seems to disappear after the 1920 census. Anyone know where he might have gone after Hamilton County IL? Can anyone help me with this? Will share the details of the adoption with anyone interested. Thank you!
