I am looking for any information on a John Patrick Carey, on most of the census it says born in Ireland but on one it says born on a ship from India 1793. Before he went blind he was a tailor. He married a Mary Ann, born 1812 Carlisle, Cumberland, England although I'm not sure this is his first wife as his oldest son is born in Kent. John Patrick Carey spent the rest of his life in Pontefract, Yorkshire, any help with anything would be wonderful.
