Hi-
My mother (now 62 yrs) was adopted in 1945. The BIG FAMILY secret was that she was taken in by her aunt Florence, (Who posed as her mother until she dies two years ago), but My REAL grandmother, (Florence's daughter) was named Ruth Carey. She would have been 19 in 1945, the Father is listed as James Loftus (age 23). I am trying to find SOMEONE alive who might know the truth. The names in the title of this post are all of Florence's siblings. Their parents were William and Sara Carey (Maiden name was Ryan), Florence was born in 1910, does ANYONE have any infromation on this family! Willks Barre / Wyoming County area. Thanks!
