Carey/Byrd marriage in late 1600's in Va

I have an ancestor, Carey Byrd. I have not been able to place her. I'm wondering if she could have been named for her mother's maiden name, Carey? Does anyone know of a Byrd marrying a Carey in the late 1600's in the area of Mecklinburg Co Va. which is where Carey Byrd (b abt 1718) lived after she married Christopher Hudson. Any help would be appreciated. Ann
