You are so sweet to go check that film out for me.Thank you so much.
The Robert Carey sure could this family. There is a Robert Carey 19 on the 1850 census with this Carey family. And I cant find him after that???
Just a tidbit:Remember the J.D. Burton & Mary F. that Nancy F. Carry & her kids are living with on the 1860 KS census???Well he is John D Burton and wife Mary F. Carrie!
It was J.D. Burton that married your William Hallmark & Charlotte.
I am betting that Mary F. is a sister to Charlotte.IF, this is right.....the only sister with the right dob to match this Mary F. is Octavia. Its a stretch, but maybe she just didnt use Octavia (since she named a daughter that). And this John D. Burton & Mary F. 'Carrie' are listed as married on several 'trees' 16 Oct 1856 in Douglas Co, KS. Sadly, both John D. died 1874 & Mary F. died 1872 both in Morris Co, KS and their young children are living with his parents Detroit & Nancy Burton on the 1880 KS census.
John and Mary Burton name their children Nancy F (Florence, Octavia Augusta, George M., Lydia, etc.More clues that she is of this same Carey family group. John D. Burton is the son of Detroit Burton and Nancy Boggs.
Although I cant find the 'complete record' on the WEB, I did find that Nancy Cary is on the index for the 1859 KS state census, Douglas Co, Willow Sprs. The fact that she is listed means she was head of household by then.
So looks like we have found who several of the Carey daughters/sons married, now for who Lydia, Harriet married??
Thank you again for your help,
Marsha
