Newton Carey bn abt 1801 NC md Ann Gallagher 18 Jun 1825 in Westmoreland, VA...Wife Ann is listed also as Nancy F. on different census records but always with the same children.
1830 VA, Westmoreland Co
1840 MO, Gasconade Co
1850 MO, Osage Co, Crawford
1855 KS, Douglas Co, Willow Sprs (voters registration)
1860 KS Territory, Douglas Co, Willow Sprs
**Newton is not listed in household. Wife Ann (aka Nancy F.) is listed with 5 of their children.
1870 KS, Osage Co, Valley Brook
wife listed as Nancy F. Carey and living with her last born child, William M. Carey & his young family.
Since Newton and Ann were married in 1825 there are probably several children that were married or out of h/h by the 1850 census.
