I don't know if theres a connection, but my
g-grandmothers maiden name was MARY CAREY. She had a sister named JULIA CAREY who was born in 1899 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. MARY CAREY came to Buffalo in 1905. Possibly her sister came with her? Also I'am from the Derby area, if you need any lookups I can be reached at MIS156@PO1.BGH.EDU.
