Sarah was born in 1830, as she was 50 on the 1880 census.
She was born in Indiana, Her parents are Peter Cox and Jane Raines. She and John C. were married on the Platte River enroute to Oregon, on 5 June, 1846, according to LDS site. I am unable to make solid connections as of yet. On the different census reports she has different place of birth. None of them are Missouri though. Thanks, and I hope you find your Sarah and John C. - I am still trying to more evidence. I have 1870 census with my GGgrandfather. Still looking for more information. I have a picture that says grandpa Carey on it but no first name. (And it is not my G Grandfather)
