I am looking for any info on a William L. and Mary Carey rom Wilkes Barre PA. He was born abt 1814. William was a tobacconist and a census taker. He lived on the same street as Elias and Sally Ann Carey from 1850 to 1870 (according to census records). I am almost certain he is from the Luzerne County Carey family but I cannot find the link (his parents). Their children were: Daniel L. Carey George B. Carey William L. Carey Joseph L. Carey CHarlotte Carey m Joseph Groff my gg-gp Mary Carey Alice Carey Harriet Carey

Elias Carey Jr. and Huldah Overman gave birth to a WIlliam L. Carey in 1877, Grant Co IN. This is not my William but it is a clue as to perhaps William L. Carey being a family name.
