I went searching today and found a new piece of information. Elisha Cary/Carey is listed in the Halifax District of Franklin County, NC. Lists one male greater than 16, 1 male less than 16 and 2 females. Can anyone tell me if this could be the father of Elizabeth C. Cary/Carey who married Payton/Peyton Madison. They are the parents of Elisa Ann born October 18, 1828. I wondered if Elisa could have been named after her grandfather IF Elisha Cary/Carey was indeed her grandfather. Also, does anyone know the name of the other male and the mother of Elizabeth Cary/Carey Madison? Thank you.
