I am researching my mother's ELDRIDGE family in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Ebenezer -5- Eldridge b. 9 Oct 1772 Yarmouth NS, was son of Barnabas -4- Eldridge and grandson of Barnabas -3- Eldridge. Ebenezer d. 27 Mar 1863, age 90 yr, 5 mo. He married (1st) Nov 1795 Olive Trask, b. 23 Nov 1778 daughter of Samuel Trask and Olive Durkee, and d. 1847.
Ebenezer md. (2nd) after 1847 Anna (Ellenwood), b. 5 Nov 1797, daughter of Giles Ellenwood and Hannah ________ ? Anna was the widow of Thomas CAREY; she died 17 Aug 1869.
Who was Thomas CAREY and who were his parents ? Was Anna his only wife ? There were sdome Carey people in Yarmouth and area around this time. I believe one family had something to do with the editorship of some publication (newspaper in Yarmouth or elsewhere ?). I think the Carey family had a connection with some folks in the area around Kemptville, Yarm CO, NS.
