I have a few questions still - Why was there an alias?
Would you be so kind as to share John's family with me and would you possibly be able to elaborate a little on the WILLIAMS? I'm wondering who SUSAN WILLIAMS was who married

John E. CAREW was appointed guardian in 1843 to JOSEPH MARION WILLIAMS - my relation - I know nothing at all about this, do you know anything? Joseph Marion was the son of SIMPSON WILLIAMS & CATHERINE DUVAL and they named one son STEPHEN ARMSTRONG WILLIAMS born 1817.

SIMPSON WILLIAMS -born 1779 in Brunswick Co NC and died in 1830 in
Charleston SC - married CATHERINE DUVAL in Charleston SC in 1807.
Simpson was a Charleston pilot and ship builder. He and Catherine had
probably at least 6 children all assumed born in Charleston SC -- SIMPSON WILLIAMS died 1830 and Catherine in 1843 - the same year JOHN CAREW became a Guardian to
Joseph Marion Williams. And lastly where is Goose Creek located?

I would so much appreciate any help you can give me - Simpson Williams was the son of BENJAMIN WILLIAMS & ANN SIMPSON from Brunswick, NC. Simpson Williams the son ended up in Charleston SC but both parents Benjamin and Ann died in Smithville, Southport, NC. Can't seem to find much after Benjamin - an absolute proven relation.

Thanks so much for your reply and anything that you may be able to help with here

Have a Great holiday and Thanks again-
