Susan -
Couple questions - Why do you have "Alias Joseph E. Spencer"? and do you know anything about the Susan Williams who married John Douglas s/o Eleanor Carew? Was John Carew a Mariner? Most in my Lines from Charleston are Mariners (My line of MCDONALD in Charleston) My WILLIAM McDONALD married an EMMALINE SPENCER from Charleston.
Do you know anything on JOHN CHAPMAN who married Eleanor's sister Mary? I have SARA BELL ANDERSON d/o JOHN ANDERSON
Married to SAMUEL CHAPMAN Married @ 1834 - Andersons from Brunswick, Southport NC. - ANDERSON and CHAPMAN were also Mariners. Samuel Chapman had at least one brother that I know of - Emanuel Perry Chapman married to Sara Bell's sister Julia Ellen Anderson. The GLENN name also appears in my genealogy notes somewhere (Yours married to Mary Chapman daughter of Mary Charew & GLENN - if I have her husband's first name I will send it)
And another question - you have my other main name from Charleston- or should I say a Headache from Charleston!
CAMPBELL
You have -
Edward Carew Scott b: December 23, 1817
................. +Eliza Toomer Campbell Father: John Campbell,
I have JOHN GRIFFITH CAMPBELL b. @1857 in PA. died 1917 Charleston married to I think Emma FABIAN. 4 Campbell children born between 1881 and 1896.
My interest in Charleston are ANDERSON WILLIAMS MCDONALD CHAPMAN CAMPBELL and probably FABIAN (Not sure on that one)
I'm wondering why JOHN CAREW took over Guardianship ofMy SIMPSON WILLIAMS' son JOSEPH MARRION WILLIAMS after Simpson died. If John was a Mariner that may be why, my family were Harbor Pilots in Charleston. I can't find anything on Joseph Williams or where he went.
I guess this is enough, sorry if I have overloaded you with questions -
Thanks for all your time, I do appreciate it much-
Best to you,
Samantha
