There are several Cardwell Sharp connections. Probably more than I can recall from memory.

Minerva Jane Cardwell married a John Sharp and her sister Margaret Cardwell married a Peter Sharp. I do not remember if they were brothers or not.
These sisters were born in the early 1830's.

They had another sister Caroline Matilda Cardwell - who is the "mother" of the referenced Richard I Cardwell that we now are seeing in DNA testing that his desc. are a Sharp.

The question has been who was Richards father and was Caroline Matilda really his mother? He thought she was - but that doesn't make it biologically so.

If you do a search at Genforum in the Cardwell forum for Walker Cardwell there is a couple Sharp notations that you might find interesting
